This blog was intended to be an electronic diary for Andee and I to share. When this blog was first created, I never made myself post. Today, I am remedying that fact. A great deal has happened since Andee last posted. She is now married to the man of her dreams, Jerry.

Jerry is originally from Beijing. He is sweet, kind and he absolutely dotes on my sister. I couldn't have dreamed up a better Prince Charming for her. I am so happy I could cry. (Again.) On March 8th, 2012, Jerry and Andee will be having a renewal of vows ceremony. It is a very auspicious day for both of them and Jerry's parents will be able to witness the ceremony.

Jerry's parents will be coming from China around the end of February. I am very excited for when they arrive. I have been taking Chinese for almost 5 months now. I have learned so much already! I hope I will soon be able to speak fluently in Chinese.

In June, my family and I will travel to China for Andee's second wedding ceremony for all of Jerry's family and friends. I am extremely excited for this trip. I am trying to arrange to stay in China and go to school. If I get accepted, I will be in China for 13 months! Talk about total immersion.

I really want to go to Beijing Language and Cultural University. I would only be an hour from Jerry's parents by subway. I am hoping to get a scholarship as well as receive credit from Utah State University while I am there. I can't wait! I just need a passport number to fill out all of these applications. This once in a lifetime trip is all I have been able to talk about since Christmas!

Andee's Intro

While there are millions of blogs on the Internet, each one has a unique style and flair. I'm hoping that this blog will allow us to share our style of sisterhood and friendship that comes with it.

To begin, I'll introduce myself. My name is Andee. I am the older sister by 5 years. However I am the shorter one, so don't fall for that one. I am in my early twenties and I'll just leave that there. I am a writer, dreamer, cook, and performer. I love writing books, so I do that when I'm not working or spending time doing other things I do.

The kitchen is one place that I can be found and I promise that the goods coming out of the oven and off the stove are good. I don't always follow the recipes exactly, but the finished product seems to turn out. (This is always a bonus.)

In the winter, I like participating in community theater to spend the winter months. In the summer, if I'm not in the garden helping tend plants, I'm working on my ceramic chalking or napping in the sun. I also can be found outdoors year round playing in the snow or soaking up the warm weather (or trying to cool off during the heat wave of summer.)

I bellydance and while my favorite style currently is American Tribal Style (Fat Chance Sister Studio), my goal is to be able to reach the point where I can start learning Tribal Fusion. I have tried Egyptian for 2 years, but I prefer the more grounded movements of Tribal.

I have many stories to tell about how my "little" sister and I developed our relationship to the point it is today. After all, there was a time that we truly wanted to be an only child, or the fights were truly horrific.

I found this song a while back and the lyrics truly remind me of our relationship.

Anyway, now that I've left you with a song, I'll head off to my next project.
